"Even though we live in Australia, we decided to have our wedding back in our home country of England. Having done a lot of research on the internet into wedding venues around both the Dorset and Berkshire areas, Milton Abbey stood out head and shoulders above elsewhere. On our first arrival at Milton Abbey we were sold and knew we didn’t need to see anywhere else. The spectacular setting, stunning abbey, and the options of a unique venue and wedding day had us spellbound, filled with exciting thoughts of the big day to come.

Anne and Andrew provided such great support both in the planning and on the day itself. Whether it be advice on timing of the day, menu options or just giving that reassurance that everything would all come together, nothing was too much trouble and we could have the perfect day we dreamed of. On the day itself, both Anne and Andrew were on hand ensuring all ran smoothly and all we had to worry about were not getting lines or speeches twisted up! The staff were friendly, well drilled and made the day a pleasure for all who attended. Whether guests travelled from round the corner, London or Sydney, all were able to see what we saw when choosing Milton Abbey.

Our Reverend Jo Davis conducted a beautiful service, it really fulfilled everything we wanted from such an important event. Given the short amount of time we were able to spend with Jo prior to the day, it was clear she worked hard to put together a service that was very personal to us and gave us important advice to help us on our journey through life together.

Head Chef Barry was very knowledgeable about what would and wouldn’t work on the day, knowing the right ingredients to use, allowing him to come up with an outstanding menu for the day. There was no problem at all accommodating the odd tweak based upon personal preference and with his team, delivered both fabulous canapes and a perfect wedding breakfast.

Finally, for us, Milton Abbey was the perfect venue for a day we’d love to relive over and over again and we’d both like to say thank you to everyone involved who made our day happen. There’s nowhere else in the world we could imagine getting married and we would strongly urge anyone planning their special day to not just consider here but to visit and see for yourselves before signing up for the best day of your lives!"

"When we originally thought about what we wanted our wedding to be we weren't sure about a lot of things. What we were sure about is that we wanted to steer well clear of 'corporate' conveyor belt style venues and that we absolutely wanted a totally personalised and bespoke service. Milton Abbey School did not disappoint and after our initial visit we were instantly spellbound beyond all our expectations! We had visited no less than 10 venues both locally and further afield prior to seeing Milton Abbey and nothing had even come close. I defy anyone to not fall in love with both the school and grounds and the Abbey itself at first sight.

Both Anne and Andrew were superbly helpful and friendly from day one and helped us to build the wedding of our dreams from grass roots up. We really had a sense that they wanted the day to be everything we had hoped for and it certainly was.

The bespoke menu was a delight (compliments to Andrew and his team in the kitchen headed up by the Head Chef), all our guests are still talking about the wonderful canapes and wedding breakfast. It would be wrong not to mention the superb local cheese board laid on for all our evening guests as well, which was simply divine.

I think for us what made the biggest difference between a superior venue such as Milton Abbey and other venues is their constant attention to detail throughout both the lead up to and indeed the day of the wedding itself.
